Memorial of Holme floods

Holmfirth Urban Council are to place a bronze plaque on the bridge over the River Holme, in the centre of the town, to commemorate the floods of the 1852 and 1944. This is to be unveiled by the chairman of the Council on May 29, the anniversary of the 1944 flood.
