Mr. J.W. Carlile, formerly of Thickhollins, Meltham, has given to the Carlile Institute, Meltham, which he built, furnished and endowed, copies in oil colours of life-size portraits of eminent artists of the twelve Prime Ministers who have held office during his lifetime.
