SIR JOHN RAMSDEN.

Sir John Frecheville Ramsden, Bart., the sale to whose Huddersfield estates, for offer to the Corporation, is now officially stated to have been agreed upon, is 42 years old. Sir John succeeded to the Baronetcy on the death of his father, in 1914. His mother, Lady Helen Gwendolen Ramsden, who died in 1910, was the third daughter and a co-heiress of the twelfth Duke of Somerset. Besides Longley Hall, Huddersfield, Sir John has seats at Turweston Manor, Brackley, Northants; Bulstrode, Gerrard‘s Cross, Bucks; Ardverikie, Kingussie, Invernessshire; Muncaster, Ravenglass, Cumberland; and Byram, Ferrybridge, Yorkshire.
