ROBERT LANE (Wooldale). Methodist Free Church. Dated 1868. Hammer dressed stone. Stone slate roof with gable copings. Miniature square cupola on ridge. Moulded stone brackets. Two storeys. Three bay gable front and four bay sides. Central door with deep fanlight and moulded cornice. Windows have two round arched lights with simple foil over in arched wood frames. Tablet in gave apex reads: "METHODIST FREE CHURCH 1868". Dwarf stone wall returned to chapel, with spear/fluer-de-lys heads to cast iron rails. Similar gates with ashlar piers.
