A short film of the same title was also released on 21 January 1915 but had a running length of 526 feet. It is uncertain if this was a re-release of the original or a remake, although reviews indicate both releases had the same plot.

Winky Becomes a Family Man (C). — Winky is shortly to become a father, and our hero is struck with one of his brilliant inspirations — suggested by that 30 shillings bounty. The nurse knows where she can borrow one or two infants to further the deceitful Winky's purpose. But the schemer is a poor feeble semblance of his usual jaunty self when Mrs. W. does actually present him with triplets, and he learns that 30s. is the maximum payment, even to the parent of an army corps. Released Oct. 15th, length 505 ft.

Winky Becomes a Family Man. — Although somewhat exaggerated in treatment, this little “comic” sets forth a capital story, wherein Winky finds himself very much of a happy father and the butt of his neighbours. (October 15th. 505 ft.)

Winky Becomes a Family Man (C). — An extremely humorous item setting forth friend Winky’s adventures as a “father.” Mr. Lloyd George’s 30s. bounty really gives him the inspiration in the first place, and he inquires of the nurse where he can “borrow” one or two infants for the purpose of “tapping” the Chancellor. Judge of his pained surprise, therefore, when Mrs. Winky actually presents him with three real babies, all his own, and he learns that 30s. is the maximum payment, even for the parent of an army corps. The film shows Winky at his best, and its broad humour will delight audiences everywhere. Released Jan. 21st, length 526 ft.

Winky Becomes a Family Man. — Fairly efficient comedy, in which Winky, hearing of the new bounty, actually borrows other infants to enable him to tabulate the correct number. When Mrs. Winky presents him with triplets, the schemer is nonplussed, and more so when he learns that “thirty-bob” is the maximum payment. (January 21st. 526 ft.)
