Kinematograph Weekly (14/Jan/1915):
Winky's Blue Diamond (C). — Winky hears that a pair of scoundrels are manoeuvring in his neighbourhood, and he determines to capture them. Disguising himself as a rajah, he causes his arrival to be announced in the local press, which comments on the value of a wonderful blue diamond he possesses. As might be anticipated the result is a visit from the rogues, who are captured with the aid of the funniest policemen on record. Released Feb. 18th, length 540 ft.
The Bioscope (21/Jan/1915):
Winky's Blue Diamond. — Forms an amusing burlesque upon the occultist type of film drama, Winky posting as the Rajah. A bundle of flypapers plays an important part in the capture of the curiously attired "swell crooks." (February 18th. 540 ft.)
