Windsor Studios were a photographic business based at 24 John William Street, Huddersfield.
The studio's address is one also linked to Stapleton and Sons and to photographer named Collins, although it is uncertain if they shared the studio or were based there at separate times.
Photo postcards produced by Windsor Studios also list Somerset Studio, Halifax, on the reverse.
The surname "Windsor" was extremely rare in the Huddersfield area, with house painter John C. Windsor (born circa 1870 on the Isle of Man) the head of the only family of that name in the 1911 Census. Instead, it seem more likely that the studio took their name from the fact that 24 Windsor Street was also known as Windsor Chambers.
