TYAS, WILLIE. Private. No 17942. 1/6th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Huddersfield 20.7.1894. Son of Lister and Mary Elizabeth Tyas, 8 Halifax Old Road, Huddersfield. Educated Hillhouse Council School. Employed as a dyer's labourer. Single. Enlisted 28.1.1916. Wounded 25.7.1918. Died of wounds on 26.7.1918, aged 22 years. Buried HAGLE DUMP CEMETERY, ELVERDINGHE, BELGIUM. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row B, Grave 4.
