Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

LEWIS, WILLIE. Private. No 241519. 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Grove Street, Huddersfield, 7.8.1885. Son of George Lewis, 510 Carlton Terrace, Leeds Road, Huddersfield. Educated Deighton Council School. Employed as a sewerage worker, by Huddersfield Corporation. Husband of Edith Lewis, 32 Ashgrove Road, Leeds Road, Huddersfield. Enlisted February 1916. Reported missing, presumed killed, at the Battle of Bullecourt, 3.5.1917. Has no known grave. Commemorated ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
