Willie Brook (c.1899-1918)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BROOK, WILLIE. Private. No 28468. 1/5th Battalion Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Formerly No 48502 The Yorkshire Regiment. Born 34 Northumberland Street, Huddersfield. Son of Mr Alfred Brook, 34 Clayton's Yard, Northumberland Street, Huddersfield. Educated at Beaumont Street Council School. Employed as a moulder by Messrs J. Hopkinson and Company Limited, of Birkby. Enlisted December 1917. Died of wounds near St. Pol, France, 31.8.1918, aged 19 years. Buried in LIGNY-sur-CANCHE BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Row B, Grave 18.
