The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SHAW, WILLIAM. Sapper. No 45204. 3rd Field Company, Canadian Engineers. Son of Alfred and Jane Shaw, of Armitage Bridge. Killed in action, 24.3.1915, aged 42 years. Buried SAILLY-sur-la-LYS CANADIAN CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row B, Grave 33.
