William Lockwood (c.1892-1917)

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- LOCKWOOD, WILLIAM. Private. No 71408. 15th Battalion Durham Light Infantry. Formerly No 11952 Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Folly Hall, Huddersfield. Son of Mrs Mary Elizabeth Lockwood, 75 Hope Street, Folly Hall. Employed by Messrs J. Hopkinson and Company Limited, Birkby. Enlisted at the outbreak of the war. Killed in action at Passchendaele, 22.10.1917, aged 25 years. Buried TYNE COT CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 44, Row H, Grave 2.
