Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

JOHNSON, WILLIAM. Private. No 138796. 18th Battalion Machine Gun Corps. Formerly No 6299 Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Huddersfield. Son of Mr and Mrs Johnson, 21 Whitestone Lane, Hillhouse, Huddersfield. Employed at the Huddersfield Corporation Electrical Department. Enlisted in 1914 at the age of 15. Killed in action, 20.9.1918, 19. Buried SAULCOURT CHURCHYARD EXTENSION. Grave location:- Row B, Grave 13.
ROH:- St. Andrew's Church, Leeds Road; Fartown and Birkby War Memorial.
