Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

COSTELLO, WILLIAM J. Gunner. 168th (Huddersfield) Brigade Royal Field Artillery. Born St. Peter's Lane, Leicester, 30.4.1894. Son of John and Jane Costello, 85 Fenton Road, Lockwood. Educated at Mount Pleasant Council School, Lockwood. Employed as a grocer's assistant. Single. Enlisted 2.5.1915. Died, 16.10.1920, at 183 Lockwood Road, of the effects of gas, aged 26. Buried LOCKWOOD CEMETERY.
Son of Private JOHN COSTELLO, who died, 19.10.1916.
