William Flemming (1885-1914)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922
The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- FLEMMING, WILLIAM. Private. No 6977. 2nd Battalion Yorkshire Regiment. Born Sheffield. Husband of Mrs Fleming of Bryan Road, Birchencliffe. Prior to enlistment, was employed by Messrs Read, Holliday and Sons Limited. Called up at the outbreak of the war as a Reservist, he had served in India. Killed at Ypres 30.10.1914. Has no known grave. Commemorated MENIN GATE MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
