William Barstow (c.1831-1901)
William Barstow was a Halifax solicitor and a District Coroner for the County of York.
He was born in Halifax, the son of Charles and Eliza Barstow.
He became a solicitor on 1854 and later partnered with Mr. W. Midgley.
Following the death of District Coroner George Dyson in 1874, Barstow took over the role. He became a Halifax borough magistrate in 1886.
He died aged 70 in 1901 and was buried at All Saints, Salterhebble, on 6 March.
