The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

FALCONER, WILLIAM ALEXANDER. Private. No 66825. 12/13th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. Born Slaithwaite. Educated Crow Lane Board School, Milnsbridge. Employed as a junior clerk by the London and North Western Railway Company. Enlisted Halifax. Died 14.4.1918. Has no known grave. Commemorated TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
