ROTHERY, WILFRED. Private. No 41990. 1st Battalion Essex Regiment. Formerly No 834 Northumberland Fusiliers. Born 20 Meg Lane, Longwood, 15.5.1880. Educated Paddock Board School. Employed as a plumber. Enlisted 27.5.1916. Killed in action, 29.7.1917, near Ypres. Has no known grave. Commemorated MENIN GATE MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
