The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- MALLINSON, WILFRED. Private. No 51841. 9th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Kirkheaton. Son of Willie L. and Frances Mallinson of Gawthorpe Green, Kirkheaton. Employed as a works chemist by Messrs George Mallinson and Sons, Gawthorpe Green. Killed in action, 4.11.1918, aged 22 years. Buried ROMERIES COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION. Grave location:- Plot 7, Row A, Grave 11.
- ROH:- St. John's Church, Kirkheaton; Lepton Parish Church; commemorated on headstone in Kirkheaton Cemetery.
