The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BRIERLEY, WILFRED. Private. No 202632. 1/4th Battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. Son of Dyson Brierley, of Wellhouse, Golcar; husband of Edith Brierley, 28 Crossley Place, Linthwaite. Killed in action, 13.4.1918, aged 34. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
