Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BERRY, WILFRED. Lance Corporal. No 3257. 1/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born 4 Meltham Road, Lockwood. Son of Harry and Sarah Ann Berry, 4 Meltham Road, Lockwood. Educated at Mount Pleasant Council School. Employed as a cloth finisher by Messrs Vickerman and Sons Limited of Taylor Hill. Attended Mount Pleasant Wesleyan Sunday School. Enlisted 14.11.1914. Killed in action, 3.9.1916. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
