Walter Taylor (c.1882-1915)

Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

TAYLOR, WALTER. Private. No 7830. 'A' Company, 2nd Battalion The Yorkshire Regiment. Born Huddersfield. Brother of Mr G H Taylor of Chapel Hill, Huddersfield. Employed as a labourer. Lived with his sister, Ada Hyland, at 34 Blackmoorfoot Road, Crosland Moor, Huddersfield. Single. Was mobilised as a Reservist at the outbreak of the war. Died from wounds received at Neuve Chapelle on 29.3.1915. He was 32 years of age. Buried RUE-DAVID MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row H, Grave 68.
