Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SUNDERLAND, WALTER. Private. No 27001. 97th Company, Machine Gun Corps. Formerly No 8009 King's Royal Rifle Corps. Born Armitage Bridge, Huddersfield. Son of Mr and Mrs Sam Sunderland, Big Valley, Berry Brow, Huddersfield. Attended Berry Brow Wesleyan Church. Employed at the Lane Dyehouse Cooperative Society. Reported missing, presumed killed, 2.12.1917, aged 25 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
