Votes for Women (19/Jan/1912) - Halifax and Huddersfield
HALIFAX AND HUDDERSFIELD.
- Organiser — Miss Annie Williams, 1, Fitzwilliam St. West, Huddersfield.
- Hon. Sec. — Miss Lettice Floyd.
The organiser hopes to hold a public meeting at Mirfield next week. Mrs. Waddington and Mrs. Robinson have kindly offered to work it up, and they would be glad of helpers to distribute handbills, which may be obtained from Mrs. Waddington, Mirfield. A few generous promises of support towards an office have been received. The organiser can only appeal to both towns to "play up." The support and interest of well-to-do friends must be enlisted. Volunteers for the next militant protest should send in their names to the organiser as soon as possible. Contributions towards a fund from those who cannot take part in militancy will be gratefully received by Miss Williams. Many thanks for Miss Lettice Floyd's New Year's Gift of £15.
Tues., Jan. 23. — Halifax, Mechanics’ Institute, 8 p.m.
Fri., Jan. 26. — Huddersfield, Parochial Hall, 8 p.m.
