The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- LOCKWOOD, VICTOR. Private. No 29/508. 1st Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. Born Kirkburton. Son of Fred and Caroline Lockwood, Duck Nest, Kirkburton. Prior to enlistment, was employed by his father as a blacksmith. Killed in action, 3.5.1917, aged 22 years. Buried DURY CRUCIFIX CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 3, Row A, Grave 41.
