After a gap life, I returned to university as a mature student and found that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I gained my BA (first class with honours) in English Literature from the University of Manchester and was awarded the John Rylands Research Institute scholarship which covered the full fees for my MA in Medieval Studies which I passed with a Distinction. I am currently a first-year PhD candidate researching the medieval mystery plays of York, Chester, and those in the Towneley Manuscript.
