Travellers Rest, Meltham

The Travellers' Rest is a public house situated on Slaithwaite Road, approximately 1 mile north-west of Meltham.

History

The building is marked as "Spring Hill" on the 1854 map, but had become the "Travellers' Rest" by 1892. The 1879 and 1897 Licence Registers note that the premises was a beerhouse, rather than a fully-licensed public house.

The Colne and Holme Fever Hospital was built on nearby land circa 1901.
