Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

LEE, TOM WALKER. Private. No 40561. 16th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. Born Mission Street, Marsh, 9.9.1888. Son of Mrs Walker Lee, 5 Back Thornhill, Longwood. Educated Holy Trinity School, Huddersfield. Employed as a mechanic at the Karrier Car Works, Huddersfield. Attended Salendine Nook Baptist Church and Sunday School. Was a playing member of the Salendine Nook Cricket Club and a member of Longwood Conservative Club. Single. Enlisted at Whitsuntide 1916. Died of wounds at No 4 Casualty Clearing Station on 19.11.1916, aged 25 years. Buried VARENNES MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 1, Row G, Grave 28.
ROH:- Salendine Nook Baptist Church.
Brother of PERCY RICHARD LEE.
