Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SYKES, TOM. Private. No 11342. 2nd Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Honley. Son of John William and Selina Sykes, Town Head, Honley. Employed as a teamer by Mr Theaker of Honley. Enlisted at the outbreak of the war. Had been wounded and in hospital on two occasions. Died of wounds at No 26 General Hospital on 22.4.1917, aged 30 years. Buried ETAPLES MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 19. Row F. Grave 7.
