STANLEY, THOMAS. Private. No 129768. Royal Army Medical Corps. Born Huddersfield. Son of Thomas and Charine Stanley, Castlegate, Huddersfield. Lived 24 Dock Street, Huddersfield. Died in hospital at Blackpool on 28.6.1918, aged 44 years. Buried EDGERTON CEMETERY, HUDDERSFIELD. Grave location:- 17, RC, 3.


Huddersfield Daily Examiner (05/Jul/1918):

HUDDERSFIELD SOLDIER'S DEATH. — Pte. Thomas Stanley (44), R.A.M.C., whose home was at 24 Dock Street, died in hospital at Blackpool, and was interred at Edgerton Cemetery on Thursday morning. A firing party and bugler attended from Halifax. Mr. George Thorp, South Parade, carried out the funeral arrangements.
