The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

SHAW, THOMAS. Private. No 242084. 2nd Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Son of James and Mary Shaw of Golcar Brow, Meltham. Died of wounds at No 41 Casualty Clearing Station on 4.4.1918, aged 32 years. Buried DUISANS BRITISH CEMETERY.Grave location:- Plot 6, Row F, Grave 32.
ROH:- St. Bartholomew's Church, Meltham.
