Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

WADE, THOMAS RUSSELL. Private. No 202368. 2/5th Battalion Manchester Regiment. Born Golcar. Son of John Alfred and Annice A. Wade, 1 Yew Tree Lane, Cowlersley, Milnsbridge. Educated Crow Lane Board School, Milnsbridge. Was a member of Milnsbridge Socialist Club. Attended the Milnsbridge Wesleyan Sunday School. Married, with two children. Lived Gorton, Manchester. Took over a business in Manchester in 1916. Enlisted October 1916. Killed in action by a shell whilst in a dugout on 14.4.1917, aged 23 years. Buried CAMBRIN MILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Row J, Grave 10.
