Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BYRAM, THOMAS RICHARD. Lance Corporal. No 241875. 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Greenfield. Lived 23 Royds Terrace, Binn Road, Marsden. Employed as a weaver at New Mills, Marsden. Was a member of Saddleworth Handbell Ringers and also played the violin. Married. Enlisted March 1916. Embarked for France January, 1917. Wounded in the head and died instantly, 20.7.1918, aged 39 years. Buried COURMAS BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row D, Grave 7.
