- JEFFRIES, THOMAS CHARLES. Lance Corporal. No 585. 11th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Born Winchcombe, Gloucestershire. Lived 12 Grayson's Yard, Chapel Hill, Huddersfield. Employed as a teamer by Messrs Smith Brothers, Viaduct Street, Huddersfield. Was a Reservist and called up at the outbreak of war. Twice wounded. Was killed in the trenches by a minnenwerfer on 1.10.1916, aged 23 years. Buried TRANCHEE DE MECKNES CEMETERY, AIX-NOULETTE, FRANCE. Grave location:- Row J, Grave 16.
