Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

BRIERS, THOMAS. Lance Corporal. No 3/6757. 1st Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment. Born Eye Green, Northamptonshire. Lived 504 Carlton Terrace, Leeds Road, Huddersfield. Employed at the Huddersfield Corporation Waterworks and had previously worked at the goods station. Had been in Huddersfield for about four years. Was called up at the outbreak of war. Killed in action, 27.5.1915, aged 22 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the MENIN GATE MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
