T. Illingworth & Co. Ltd were a photographic company established in Halifax. The firm is known to have had a studio on Bradford Road, Huddersfield.
Thomas Illingworth (c.1838-1912?) established himself as a photographer in Halifax in the 1860s, having apprenticed under his maternal grandfather John Eastham in Manchester. His son, Thomas (c.1867-?), expanded the business and moved to Soho, London, where he produced photographic plates and paper.
As the family business expanded, they established studios in nearby towns and cities, including one on Bradford Road, Huddersfield.
