Notes and References
- ↑ His father's name is not given in the baptismal registry entry and Edith was recorded as being a single woman (and a spinster in later records). Edith was born in 1872 at Dodsworth, Barnsley, the daughter of Pamela Chadwick (likely illegitimate). The 1881 Census records her living with her grandmother, dress maker Hannah Chadwick, and her cousin Gertrude Aspinall Chadwick (who married Edgar Burhouse on 1 February 1900).
- ↑ Edith was recorded as a widow, but this is likely an error as she was named as a spinster when she acted as an executor of Benjamin's Will in 1940.
- ↑ He did not leave a Last Will & Testament. No claims were made on his estate and it eventually reverted to the Crown.
