Spen Valley Parliamentary Division

The Spen Valley Parliamentary Division was a constituency which existed between 1885 and 1948. It returned a single Member of Parliament.

Under the Representation of the People Act of 1918, the boundaries of the constituency were altered so that it comprised the urban districts of Birkenshaw, Birstall, Drighlington, Gildersome, Heckmondwike, Hunsworth, Kirkheaton, Lepton, Mirfield, Spenborough, and Whitley Upper.

The constituency was abolished in 1948 and the area was reallocated to the constituencies of Batley & Morley, Brighouse & Spenborough, Colne Valley, Dewsbury, and Huddersfield East.
