Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

HELLAWELL, SELWYN. Private. No 204384. 8th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Lightridge Farm, Fixby, 8.4.1890. Son of John William and Elizabeth Helliwell, Lightridge Farm, Fixby, Huddersfield. Employed as a farmer. Single. Enlisted 3.3.1917. Reported missing, 9.10.1917 and afterwards presumed to have been killed on that date, aged 27. Has no known grave. Commemorated TYNE COT MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
