Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

ROBINSON, SAM BENSON. Sergeant. No 240240. 2/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Ripon. Lived Minton Cottage, Manchester Road, Linthwaite. Employed at the Bent Ley Silk Mills, Meltham. Enlisted 1915. Killed in action, 29.3.1918, aged 23 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated ARRAS MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
ROH:- Linthwaite War Memorial; Huddersfield Drill Hall.
Brother of Private ALBERT ARTHUR ROBINSON killed in action, 28.9.1915, and Private THOMAS WADE ROBINSON killed in action, 21.3.1918.
