The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- TUCKER, ROBERT BRUCE. Private. No 242927. 1/7th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Youngest son of Mrs Tucker, of Damhouse, Holmfirth. Was born in the West of England where he was educated. Employed by Messrs Greenwoods at Digley Mills. Attended Hinchliffe Mill Wesleyan Chapel. Married, with three children. Enlisted 5.7.1916. Trained at Clipstone Camp and embarked for France in October, 1916. Killed in action in Belgium on 29.4.1918. Buried KLEIN-VIERSTRAAT BRITISH CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 5, Row C, Grave 2.
