The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CATON, RICHARD. Private. No 241376. 1/5th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Married, with four children. Lived 111, Wakefield Road, Huddersfield. Employed by Messrs M. Bedforth and Sons of Aspley. Killed at Nieuport, 7.8.1917, aged 42 years. Buried RAMSCAPELLE ROADMILITARY CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 2, Row A, Grave 7.
