A public notice published in the Huddersfield Chronicle (23/May/1868) stated that "all the furniture, fixtures and effects" in the premises were the property of brewery Joseph Marshall of Spring Mill Brewery.

At the Brewster Sessions of 1869, the beerhouse keeper was named as Michael Tyas.[1]
