The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

GLEDHILL, PERCY. Private. No 205238. 1/6th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Skelmanthorpe. Husband of Ellen Gledhill, Queen Street, Skelmanthorpe. Employed as a weaver by Messrs Field and Botterill of Skelmanthorpe. Enlisted May 1917. Died of gunshot wounds to the jaw, 15.5.1918, aged 29 years. Buried BOULOGNE EASTERN CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 9, Row B, Grave 84.
