A husband bribes a poor man to pose as his wife's rich uncle.

Peppering His Own Porridge. — A good and well-performed “Winky” number, with just the right amount of broad fun. He gets an old Colonial to impersonate bis wife’s uncle, and the old fellow seizes the opportunity to run up a bill which staggers Winky. The cure is effectual, and its victim decides that bogus relatives are a dangerous experiment. (February 4th. 630 ft.)
