The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:
- WILKINSON, NORMAN. Private. No 202960. 1/4th Battalion Duke of Wellington's Regiment. Born Lidget Street, Lindley, Huddersfield, 3.5.1892. Youngest son of Mr and Mrs F. Wilkinson, 59 Thorncliffe Street, Lindley. Married. Lived 72 Alder Street, Bradford Road, Huddersfield. Employed as a credit draper. Attended the Lindley Zion United Methodist Church. Enlisted July 1916. Killed in action near Ypres, Belgium, on 29.12.1917, aged 25 years. Buried HOOGE CRATER CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 4, Row A, Grave 10.
