The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

PRIESTLEY, NORMAN. Guardsman. No 26349. 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards. Born Golcar. Younger son Alice Ann Priestley, 3 Share Hill. Golcar. Employed by Messrs James Dyson and Sons, Hoyle Ing Dyeworks, Linthwaite. Attended Golcar Baptist Church and was Captain of the Golcar Boys Life Brigade. Killed in action, 20.8.1918, aged 24 years. Buried BUCQUOY ROAD CEMETERY. Grave location:- Plot 3, Row K, Grave 5.
