Norman Mitton (1896-1916)

- MITTON, NORMAN. Rifleman. No C/6904. 18th Battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps. Born Kirkheaton 22.2.1896. Educated Bradley Church of England School. Lived 10 Colne Bridge, Bradley. Employed as a cloth finisher by Messrs Learoyd Brothers. Enlisted 16.8.1915. Killed in action during the Battle of the Somme, 15.9.1916. Has no known grave. Commemorated THIEPVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
