The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

KENNEDY, NORMAN. Private. No 366836. 1/6th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. Born Halifax Old Road, Huddersfield, 11.5.1899. Son of Lea and Alice Kennedy, 34 St. Paul's Street, Huddersfield. Educated Thomas Street Council School. Employed as a cloth finisher. Single. Enlisted March 1917. Killed in action, 2.4.1918. Has no known grave. Commemorated POZIERES MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
