Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922

The following extract is from Huddersfield's Roll of Honour: 1914-1922 (2014) by J. Margaret Stansfield:

CARTER, NORMAN. Private. No CH/20284. Royal Marine Light Infantry. HMS Laurentic. Born Kirkburton. Son of Lewis and Eliza Carter, of Slant Gate, Kirkburton. Killed by a mine explosion off the Irish coast on 25.1.1917, aged 18 years. Has no known grave. Commemorated on the CHATHAM NAVAL MEMORIAL TO THE MISSING.
ROH:- All Hallows Parish Church, Kirkburton; commemorated on headstone in Kirkburton Churchyard.
